Stats Glossary

Every stat you see in Moto Games is calculated from public racing results. Here's what each term means — and note that stats are always scoped to the field filters you pick, so a rider's numbers can change based on the era, year, manufacturer, or class you've selected.

Wins

Total race wins (mains in Supercross, overalls in Pro Motocross) across the seasons matching your field filters.

Podiums

Total finishes inside the top three (1st–3rd) in a race or overall.

Top 5s

Total finishes inside the top five (1st–5th) in a race or overall.

Points

Total championship points scored across the filtered seasons. Points reflect both consistency and speed across a season.

Holeshots

Total times a rider led the field into the first turn at the start of a race.

Starts

Total race or round starts — how many times the rider lined up at a gate across the filtered seasons.

Season

One year of competition in a single class (e.g. 2026 450SX). A rider with a long career may have dozens of seasons across 250 and 450, SX and MX.

Class

The displacement category a rider competed in: 250 (including 250SX/250MX) or 450 (450SX/450MX). Some riders move up mid-career.

Manufacturer

The brand a rider raced for — Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki, Yamaha, Husqvarna, GasGas, and others. A rider may switch manufacturers across seasons.

Factory team

The named factory or support team a rider rode for within a season (e.g. Monster Energy Kawasaki, Red Bull KTM). More granular than manufacturer.

Turned pro

The year a rider began racing professionally. Used in the Guess the Rider — Turned Pro mode.

Active

A rider flagged as currently competing in Supercross or Pro Motocross based on recent participation.

Qualifies

An internal flag indicating a rider has 2+ seasons across both Supercross and Pro Motocross — the baseline for inclusion in the game pool.

How stats are scoped

When you set filters (series, era, year, manufacturer, class), a rider's stats are summed only across the seasons that match. So "Career · SX + MX" shows everything, while "2026 · Supercross" shows only that single season's numbers. This lets you compare riders fairly within the same context.

See who makes the pool on the Rider Eligibility page, or learn the game flow on How to Play.
